Ask Kristen: Get Spouse More Involved11/6/2007 Kristen Horler, CEO & Founder
A: I don't need to tell you that Baby Boot Camp is not about sitting around or even strolling around (at least not until class is over!), so how do you get your husband to try a class? A number of our locations offer a special "dad's day" class where dads are encouraged to attend Baby Boot Camp. If he knows he won't be the only dad lunging, sprinting and doing push ups with his family, he may be more apt to attend and find out what it's really all about. Your goal is to get your entire family moving more, so you may want to suggest a walk around your neighborhood after dinner tonight or walking to get coffee on Saturday morning. Bring your children in a carrier or stroller, have your older ones ride their scooter or bike. It doesn't matter what form it takes, so long as you get out and about with the whole family and get them moving more. Your leisurely stroll around the block won't be equivalent to the workout you get at Baby Boot t Camp, but it's a great way to spend time together as a family.
